Happy New Year everyone. The donuts will be accompanied with a chicken biscuit, a bacon egg and pimento cheese biscuit and a sausage egg and cheese all for the fam to share and we should all be alive again in no time:) I’ll follow this up with a couple miles walk to retrieve my car. We took a lyft home and the total was $3 sad but funny way too cold to make the little ones march a couple miles after midnight and $3 was well spent to not get behind the wheel.

That sounds like a good plan to me.
And at least your Lyft was intentional and thought out! A guy from our company took one literally around the corner because he was too drunk to find his hotel.

If you have a hangover to get rid of, tex mex breakfast tacos are the best cure.

Was just looking at the bill I guess it was $6 but because it was my 1st lyft they take $3 off my first 5 rides. We live in a somewhat rural area and I expected to pay a bunch more for the ride but was ok with it so the cheap ride was a bonus. I hooked the driver up with a nice tip. Very nice of them to discount on a busy holiday I typically use uber but I really liked the Lyft interface so I’ll be back.

Sounds like a plan. One of my favorite cures has always been hash browns with something else on the side and lots of coffee and juice. The greasier the combination of sides and potatoes the better. A quick web search for hash brown hangover cure even reinforces what I’ve known before there was a WWW. I think I first realized it during college in the 70s. I recall many times getting coffee , orange juice and a double or triple order of hash browns at the golden arches .

For once, I’m not hungover on New Year’s Day. I had a few glasses of whisky and some infused chocolate bars and gamed/slept my way into the new year. It feels good.
On the subject of donuts:

Two things:
1. Kids love breakfast tacos, and
B. Why are your children in need of a hangover remedy?

I am proud to say i was not hungover. I went home shortly after midnight from a party thrown by my sushi chef. I went home, posted on Oppo and FB, then slept. Got woken up at 2 by husband who need me to move the car so he can put MY S3 back in the garage, then 45 minutes later by drunk friend who cannot get an Uber and wandering in downtown wasted and cant get home (at least he wasn’t driving). Picked him up in the CR-V in my PJs, took him back to my place and arranged an Uber to pick his drunk ass up at my house.

The young ones were basically hung over from staying up waaay past bedtime eating junk food and going crazy when the ball dropped. It was a good time. The adults had many beverages but no one was toast just these days your a dummy if you drive even after 2 or 3 of the high power brews my friends and I enjoy.

I’ve been told the best cure for a hangover is to stay drunk. But who doesn’t love donuts??
